CHA teams look to show they are mediocre no more

The first full weekend of games brought in some surprising results for CHA fans. Robert Morris, Syracuse, and Niagara headed into the land of 10,000 lakes for battles with UMD and SCSU. While each team ended up with a loss the games where close battles that showed the teams were much improved from last season where lopsided loses were to be expected.

In other action the Mercyhurst Lakers used four second period goals to down WCHA foe Bemidji State and Wayne State fell to RPI 3-2 on the road.

While a 1-4 record last night may be less that extraordinary the results overall show the league is much improved from the start of last season and cast a bright light on what may be this season in the CHA.
