Wisconsin forward Meghan Duggan and Moncton forward Marieve Provost both set records this week and are their respective National Player of the Week award winners.
Duggan helped the badgers extend their unbeaten streak to 18 games with her five goals and one assist during the Badgers sweep of WCHA rival North Dakota. Duggan's five scores included three power play goals and both game winning goals. During Friday's game the Danvers, Mass native recorded her first hat-trick of the year en route to a 5-0 win. On Sunday Duggan scored both her goals on the power-play and assisted on UW's final goal of the series. The Badgers captain finished the weekend with 12 shots and a +2 rating. Duggan is one goal shy of becoming the second Badger all-time to reach 100 career goals. While she is one point from tying the UW program record for career points at 218.
Provost who became the CIS all-time leader in goals and points this weekend. Registered two goals including the game winner and picked up an assist in a 6-2 win over St. Mary's. Assisted on the OT winner and had another assist in a 4-3 defeat of St. Thomas. Her 108 goals-107 assists- and 215 points in 102 games played, puts her two points ahead of former Alberta Panda Tarin Podloski.
