BTD Polls for the week of February 14th

It's valentines week and it's a shade of pink at the top of the Beyond the Dashers polls. With RIT falling to Oswego over the weekend, UW-River Falls joins flagship campus UW-Madison and McGill at number one in the nation. In the National Collegiate poll the top three remain unchanged this week with Mercyhurst trading places with Boston U at number four and UMD trading places with Boston College at number six. North Dakota and Dartmouth hold their positions this week as Quinnipiac rounds out the top ten.

In the CIS poll the ten teams remain the same however after this past weekends results, the positions have changed. McGill and St. Francis Xavier hold strong in the top two spots. Laurier and Alberta trade places at third and fourth and Manitoba and Calgary trade places at fifth and sixth. Alberta fell 1-0 to Usask and Manitoba looked less than impressive during a pair of 4-2 wins over sixth place UBC. Brock falls to number eight this week after a loss to Windsor on the road Saturday night. Holding steady and rounding out the poll is Moncton and Guelph at number nine and ten respectively.

The NCAA Division III poll was also shook up this week as UW-River Falls asceds to the number one position after RIT split a weekend series with Oswego. Even with the loss and the Tigers 7-1-2 record in their last ten games the voters still found enough merit to keep RIT ahead of Norwich this week. The Cadets jumped ahead of Plattsburgh after the cards went 2-1 with a loss at number five Middlebury last Wednesday. Despite the loss the Panthers still moved up with Amherst ahead of Elmira after the Soaring Eagles split a weekend series at Buffalo State. Holding solid in the eighth and ninth positions this week are Trinity and Gustavus Adolphus. The Bantams and Golden Gusties both went 2-0-0 on the week. Rounding out the top ten and joining the poll this week is Adrian. The Bulldogs who are 6-2-2 in their last ten games own an 8-1-1 record over their last eight games with the loss and tie coming on the road against number one UW-River Falls.
