Wisconsin forward Meghan Duggan becomes the third Badger player (Hilary Knight has been named twice in this strech) in the last five weeks to be named BTD National Player of the Week for the NCAA National Collegiate Division. Over the weekend Duggan had two goals, two assists, nine shots on goal and finished with a +4 plus/minus rating in the Badgers two game series at UMD over the weekend. Her three points in last Friday's 4‐1 win led all scorers. Also scored in Saturday's shootout victory giving the badgers five of the six series points.
With the remaining Player of the Week awards a strange occurrence happened this week as the Defensive Player of the Week, Goalie of the Week, and Rookie of the Week honors all went to goaltenders.
Ottawa forward Fannie Desforges returns to the BTD Player of the week honors being named the CIS National Player of the Week. Desforges lead the Gee‐Gees to a pair of wins on the weekend over their QSSF foes. She scored two goals in a 5‐2 victory over Concordia and then added an assist in regulation as well as scoring two goals in the shoot‐out to down Carleton 2‐1.
