CHA Games
Robert Morris @ Mercyhurst, 7:00 PM ET
RMU Preview ~ MC Preview
Live Stats ~ Webstream
Key's of the Game: Opening up CHA league play the up and down colonials travel defending CHA Champion Mercyhurst for a chance at an early lead in the standings. The well stocked Lakers will likely pressure the weaker RMU defense early and often in a game where the Colonials could use a special teams sequence or two early on to gain the lead. If RoMo can hold off the Lakers forces early and force odd man situations the other way then they may be able to compete. However the likely odds in the offensive power that Mercyhurst posses may be way more than the colonials can match.

Key's of the Game: The number one Badgers played just well enough to sweep the Buckeyes out of Mad-Town a weekend ago. With the lowley Mavs in town for Halloween weekend look for the home dominance to continue however it would be foolish to look past a trick or two from the Mavericks who are coming off a home split with upstart UND. If the Badger goaltending can get settled in before they face a challenge then look for the Badgers to come away with a couple of monster victories as a good learning experience is likely all the Mavs will leave town with.
St. Cloud State @ Bemidji State, 2:07 PM CT
SCSU Preview ~ BSU Preview

Key's of the Game: The winless Huskies of St. Cloud State are clearly a team that needs victories to change the mood of their season. Going into a new building to face an opponenet that has gotten better each time they have faced off the edge here clearly goes to the Beavers. Bemidji is looking to survive in a league dominated by three teams for so long needs a sweep to keep their confidence and hope alive. A visit by the Huskies could not have come at a better time.
Minnesota @ Minnesota Duluth, 7:07 PM CT
UMN Preview ~ UMD Preview

Key's of the Game: In the five star matchup of the week the number three Bulldogs battle the number six Gophers. The defending champion Bulldogs have dominated their largely overmatched oposition in all but one game to this point. The Gophers who struggled against the same team that downed the 'dogs will need to take a page out of the Sioux play book and stay out of the box and hope to draw a few power plays of their own if they want to unseat their rivals to the north on the road. In their final trip to the DECC the gophers will need to play composed two way hockey against an Olympic laden Bulldogs team that wishes to rid the DECC of the gophers by keeping four early points in Duluth.
Non-Conference Games
Syracuse @ Ohio State, 7:07 PM ET
SU Preview ~ OSU Preview

Key's of the Game: The upstart Orange agaist the proven Buckeyes should be the makings of a classic non-conference series. Ohio State has shown it can compete with the elite teams in women's hockey while the Orange have made some noise in their own right however they are still largely a question mark when it comes to quality wins. It's the battle of Stefanie Marty, Julie Rising and star forward Isabel Menard against Laura McIntosh, Natalie Spooner, Kelly Wild, and Hokey Langan in the utlimate battle of the davids looking to prove they can stand with goliath. The team that goes up two likely wins in each game. Which team that happens to be will have to be settled on the ice.
Niagara @ New Hampshire, 7:00 PM ET
NU Preview ~ UNH Preview
Live Stats ~ Webstream
Key's of the Game: Niagara is a team searching for identity up against an established force in the women's hockey world. Even though the Wildcats are not the power they once were they still have the horses to down a team on the rise and that is where the purple eagles hope to be one day. While a Split may not be out of the question the Purple Eagles will need to have all their ducks in a row in order to steal a victory in hostile terirtory.
