Kacey Bellamy: A Million-Dollar Blue Line Baby

Though comparatively young, Bellamy brings an irresistible winning touch to Team USA

It is finally a dead decade, and a rather tough one at that for the likes of Kacey Bellamy to part with.

Ten years ago, only three months after the anxious worldwide buildup to Y2K had ended, Bellamy -then just a seventh grader from western Massachusetts- partook in a 12-and-under national championship with the illustrious Assabet Valley program. Fast-forward to when there were a mere two weeks left in the 2000s and Bellamy closed out her decorated decade as one of the last six defenders standing when the 2010 U.S. Olympic team announced its final roster cuts.
