Shari has been a frequent on the US National scene since graduating from MSU in 2004.
I for one will be excited to see her behind the bench when the season begins!
This also should give Mankato a leg up recruiting wise as she will be able to give potential recruits a first hand account of what life is like in Mankato and is close in age so the players will be able to relate well to her.

Word has it Shivaun Siegl is moving up or over depending on how you look at coaching moves, as she will shift from RPI to Niagara next season. After one season under John Burke it appears she will be an assistant under new coach Chris MacKenzie. While we have yet to see an offical announcement on the NU site we did see that they have named former Notre Dame athlete Josh Sciba as an assistant to round out the staff. The Purple Eagles will be rather young in the coaching department if this is the case as Siegl will have the most womens experience on the staff. Pair that will losing the wonderful Ashely Riggs to graduation and it could be a rough season for NU fans.
