Battle of the sexes

Minnesota State - Mankato recently hired Eric Means as its new women's coach.

Means brings experience as a player at Minnesota from 1989-1994 and has been a Men's assistant at Mankato for 14 seasons.

This will be his first time coaching women at any level.

Niagara University has tabbed Chris MacKenzie, Niagara alumnus and former men's hockey player as it's new women's Coach.

MacKenzie was previously the assistant coach at UMass-Lowell.

This is the second hire in the offseason that was a former men's assistant with no previous women's experience being hired as a Head Coach. Meanwhile the development of former women's players continues to take a backseat to the agenda of schools awarding jobs to men based on hopes of success......
